Amitabh Krishan

Amitabh Krishan is located at number 441 in Tis Hazari. If you know the area, you know it can be a bit of a maze with all the different numbers and blocks. We’ve been in this particular spot for quite some time now. The office is small and usually filled with the sound of the ceiling fan and the occasional horn from the street outside. We spend our days mostly looking at files and trying to keep everything in some kind of order. It's a lot of paperwork, to be honest. Some days I feel like I'm drowning in it, but we manage to get through. There’s a small tea stall just down the lane where we usually go around four in the afternoon. It’s a good chance to stretch our legs. The office doesn't have a lot of decorations. There are some old calendars on the wall and a clock that’s five minutes fast, but we haven't bothered to fix it. We just know to subtract five minutes. It’s a very plain, functional space. People come in, we talk about what needs to be done, and then they leave. There’s no big ritual or anything. We’re just regular folks working in Tis Hazari. The power cuts happen now and then, so we always keep a few torches handy. It’s just part of life here at 441. We keep moving forward.
