Ameer Sweet House

If you go deep into Darya Ganj, near Chittli Kabar, you will find us. Ameer Sweet House is located at Haveli Ajam Khan 957. It is an old part of the city. The lanes are narrow and always full of people and rickshaws. Our shop has been in this spot for generations. It is a bit cramped inside because the building is so old. We make traditional sweets the way my father taught me. There is no machine doing the work here. Everything is done by hand in the back. Sometimes the heat in the kitchen gets to be a lot, but we are used to it. The walls are a bit stained from the steam and smoke over the years. We do not have fancy menus. We just have what we made that day. Customers come from all over because they remember eating here when they were kids. It is a loud area, always something happening outside the door. We do not really advertise. People just know where 957 Haveli Ajam Khan is. It feels like time has not changed much inside the shop. We keep the counters full and wait for the regulars. It is a busy life but it is our life. We are not looking to move or expand. This corner of Darya Ganj is home. We just keep the traditions going as best as we can.
