Hari Sweet & Confectioners

We have been here at Kedar Building for quite a while now. Being right in the middle of the Old Subzi Mandi area near Ghanta Ghar keeps us on our toes every single day. Kamla Nagar is always moving, and we are just a small part of that noise and energy. Most people know us because they pass by while doing their vegetable shopping. The shop isn't fancy, just a regular place where we keep the shelves filled with whatever is fresh. Sometimes it gets really crowded in this lane, especially in the evenings when everyone is out. We start early in the morning, getting things ready before the sun is even fully up. It is hard work, standing around the counters and dealing with the heat from the kitchen area, but that is just how it is. You see the same faces every week, neighbors and students from the nearby colleges stopping in. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just find us. The building itself is old, but it has a lot of character. We try to keep things organized, though during festival times, it gets a bit chaotic. There are boxes piled up and everyone is in a hurry. We just focus on getting through the day's orders. If you are ever walking through the market near the clock tower, you will probably see our sign. It's nothing special, just a local spot for local people. Most people around here call it a landmark even though it is just a shop.
