About Mahakal Marble – Building & Construction Material in Bundi
We operate out of House No.-6 in Indraprasth Colony. Devpura is a quiet spot, and we like being part of this neighborhood. Our space is basically a home-based office and a yard where we keep our marble stock. It started out small and stayed that way because we prefer managing things ourselves. When you walk into the colony, you can see the white and grey slabs leaning against the walls. We spend our days answering the phone and talking to contractors who need material for local houses. Marble is heavy and delicate at the same time, so we have to be careful when moving it around. We don't have a glossy catalog or anything like that. People usually come over, look at the patterns in the stone, and decide what they like. It’s a very hands-on process. Sometimes the neighbors stop by for a chat while we are unloading a new shipment. It gets a bit noisy when the trucks arrive, but everyone is used to it by now. We try to keep the dust down by spraying water on the slabs. It’s a simple life here in Devpura. We don't have big ambitions to be the largest supplier; we just want to get through the day’s orders and make sure the deliveries go out on time. The office is just a desk with a few ledgers and an old computer that we use when we have to. Sometimes the cat from next door comes in to sleep on the cool stone floor during the afternoon.
