Sr Golden Public School

Our school, Sr Golden Public School, sits on Plot No. 67 along the Shad Pur Road in Village Akhtiyarpur. It is a quiet part of Bulandshahr, mostly surrounded by fields and a few other houses. We have been running this place for a good while now. The building is simple, just some brick and mortar that we try to keep clean. Every morning, the children arrive from the village and nearby areas, some walking and others on cycles. It gets pretty noisy once they all get into their classrooms. We don't have a lot of fancy gadgets or big screens. We mostly use books and the blackboards to get through the day's lessons. The teachers here are mostly locals who understand how life is in this part of the country. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just open the windows wider to let the light in. We have a small area where the kids can run around during their lunch break. It is nothing too big, just a patch of ground. We spend a lot of time making sure they learn their reading and writing. It is a lot of hard work keeping the place going, especially when the weather gets really hot in the summer. We don't have a big office or a reception area. If a parent needs to talk, we just find a chair and sit down wherever there is space. It is just a plain, honest school for the local kids.
