Rana Institute Of Medical Sciences

Rana Institute Of Medical Sciences is located right in the middle of Jhajhar village in Bulandshahr. If you know the area, you know it's a quiet place where everyone pretty much knows each other. We set this place up because there wasn’t much around here for people who wanted to learn about medical sciences without traveling hours into the city. It’s not a huge campus like you see on TV. It’s a simple building that serves the village and the surrounding post area. We’ve had some leaky roofs in the past and the roads get a bit muddy during the rainy season, but we make do. Life here moves at a different pace. We focus on teaching the locals what they need to know. It’s hard work, but someone has to do it. The students usually walk or bike from nearby. We don’t spend money on fancy brochures or advertisements. Most people find out about us just by talking to their neighbors. We’re part of the 203203 zip code community and we plan on staying here. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just part of living in the village. We try to be honest with everyone who walks through the door about what it takes to learn this stuff. It’s just a regular place doing regular work for the people around Jhajhar.
