Sunjarang Mahila Kisan Producer Company Limited

Our group is called Sunjarang Mahila Kisan Producer Company Limited. We are located over in Manikpur, specifically around Panbari Bijni. It is part of the Bongaigaon district in Assam. Most of the people involved are women farmers from the Brahmaputra CLF. We spend our days out in the fields. Farming is what we know. It is not always easy, but we do it anyway. The work is mostly manual. We don't have any big corporate goals, just trying to get our farming work organized. If you come to Panbari Bijni, you will see us. We are just local people. We handle everything from planting to harvesting. Being part of a producer company helps us stay connected. There is a lot to do every season. Sometimes the crops are good, sometimes they are not so good. We just take it day by day. Our office, if you can call it that, is right there in the village. We don't use fancy words to describe ourselves. We are just farmers who happen to be women working together. The address 783391 is our home ground. It gets very hot here in the summer. We share our tools and our knowledge. This is how we live and work in this part of Assam. It's a quiet life mostly focused on the land.
