Tarai Mitra Farmers Producer Company Limited

Over here in Bilaspur, at Vill-Vipalia Ahla, we have Tarai Mitra Farmers Producer Company Limited. We are right in the Tarai region, so the land is a bit different than other places. It stays quite wet, which is good for some things but tricky for others. We run things near the Kemri post office. It’s a group of us who have been farming these plots for a long time. We decided that having a company name might help us when we go to the government offices or try to buy supplies. It’s mostly just us sitting around and figuring out who needs what for the next season. The roads can get pretty messy when it rains, so getting things in and out is always a challenge. We don't have a big staff or any fancy computers. It’s just notebooks and a lot of talk. We grow rice and wheat mostly, but we are looking at other things too. People in the village know where to find us if they have a problem with their crop. We try to help out when we can. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except during the harvest when everything is moving fast. We are just local people who care about this dirt and what grows out of it. We hope the seasons are kind to us and the crops stay strong.
