Prakritik Ghumarwin Farmers Producer Company Limited

Down here in Ghumarwin, things are a bit different than the high mountains. Our company is based right in Shashtri Colony, at Vinay Rana’s place. It’s a busy little spot in the Po Ghumarwin area. We are mostly focused on natural farming, which just means we try to do things the way they used to be done before all the chemicals became common. It’s a bit more work to keep the pests away, but we think it’s the right way to go for the land. There’s a lot of back and forth between the farmers in our group. We meet up often to discuss which seeds are working and how the soil is looking this year. Since we are in Teh Ghumarwin, we are quite lucky with the location for transport, but the heat in the summer can be a real struggle for the crops. Our office isn't anything special, just a room where we keep our records and talk about the next harvest. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit outside and talk until it comes back on. It’s a very local thing, and most of us have lived here our whole lives. We aren't trying to be some giant corporation, just a bunch of people from the colony and surrounding villages trying to sell what we grow without losing our shirts. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
