We are set up at Chandrashekhar Sahu’s place in Village Parsada. Specifically, we are in Ward No. 18 in the Bhurkuni area. It is a very rural spot and that is exactly where we need to be. Most of us have been farming since we were kids. We decided to make this company so we could buy things in bulk and maybe save a little money. Everything is getting so expensive these days. The office is just a part of the house really. You’ll see sacks of seeds or maybe some equipment lying around the yard. We don't have a secretary or a fancy phone system. If someone calls, whoever is closest picks up. We spend our days worrying about the soil and if the borewell is going to hold up. It’s a lot of stress but having the group helps. We get together and complain about the prices of diesel and talk about which crops did well last year. It’s a simple life but it's ours. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big offices or shiny cars. We just want to make sure our families can keep living on this land. Sometimes the paperwork gets confusing and we have to ask for help to fill out the government forms. We are just farmers trying to look out for each other. It’s a tight community here in Parsada and we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and work.
