Suraj Hotel

Our hotel is located right near the railway station in Rani Bazar. It’s a very convenient spot, I suppose, because people are constantly coming and going from the trains at all hours. The address is 334001, if you are looking for us on a map. It’s an older building, nothing like those big modern hotels with glass walls that you see in the bigger cities. We have simple rooms for people who just need a place to put their head down for a night before they catch another train the next morning. It can get quite noisy with the station being so close, but you sort of get used to the train whistles and the platform announcements after you've been here a few days. Rani Bazar has plenty of small shops and little places to eat nearby, so our guests don't really have to travel far to find what they need. We keep things very basic inside. There is a small desk where someone usually sits to take names, and the hallways are a bit narrow. We spend a lot of our time cleaning and changing out the linens because people stay for such a short time. Sometimes travelers show up late at night without any kind of reservation, and if we have a room empty, we let them in. It’s a bit of a revolving door, honestly. We’ve seen all kinds of people pass through Bikaner over the years. Some are here for a day, others stay longer.
