Choksi Fortnightly(Publication Group)

Choksi Fortnightly is a publication group and we are located inside Dharam Nagar Dwar in Bikaner, Rajasthan. Being in Bikaner gives us a different perspective than if we were in a big city like Delhi or Mumbai. The atmosphere here is a bit slower but we still have to meet our deadlines every two weeks for the fortnightly updates. Our office is right by the gate and it has that old Rajasthan feel to it. We spend our days writing, editing, and checking the print quality. It gets really hot here in the summer so we are usually huddled around the coolers while we work on the next issue. We have a small group of people who have been with the publication for years. We know the local stories and the people around here pretty well. It is not a massive corporate operation. We are just a local group making sure the news and articles get out to our readers. Sometimes the printing press has issues or we struggle to find a specific photo but we always manage to get the paper out. It is honest work and we take it one day at a time. If you walk past Dharam Nagar Dwar you might hear the sound of keyboards or people discussing the next headline. That is just us doing what we have always done.
