Kutch Tourism

Kutch Tourism is run from our office on the 1st Floor, right above Dilip, near the Bank of Baroda. It’s a convenient spot because everyone knows where the bank is located. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or talking to people who want to see the Rann or the local villages. It’s a small space, mostly filled with maps and some old photos of the desert and local crafts. We’ve lived here all our lives, so we know the roads and the best times to go places without getting stuck in the heat. Sometimes the internet goes out and we have to do everything manually, which is a bit of a headache but we manage. We aren't like those big travel websites where you just click a button and hope for the best. We actually talk to you and explain how the buses run or where you can get the best tea. It gets busy during the festival season, and the office can feel a bit cramped when too many people come in at once. We keep a few chairs for people to sit and wait. Often, we are just giving directions to people who got lost looking for the bank. It’s a lot of work coordinating with drivers and camp owners, but we’ve been doing it for a long time. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the area well and want to help visitors see the real Kutch.
