Hotel Blue Heaven

Our place is tucked away in Jaydev Vihar, right on the B P College Road. It’s a busy spot because of the college being so close. You see students walking by all day long, talking and eating at the little stalls nearby. Plot No-N5/324 isn’t hard to find once you get into the neighborhood. We’ve been here in Bhubaneshwar for a while now. The building is a typical concrete structure, nothing too special to look at from the outside. Inside, we have rooms that we try to keep clean and ready. The furniture is mostly wood and a bit heavy to move around. We have a small area where people can sit while they wait for their keys or their ride. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but that’s just part of living in this part of town. We usually just light some candles or wait for the backup generator to kick in. The staff here is just a few local guys who know the streets well. If you ask, they can tell you where the tea stalls are or which rickshaw driver is fair. It gets quite hot in the summer months so we keep the windows shut to try and trap the cooler air inside. It’s a straightforward business and we don’t try to make it something it isn't. We’re just here on the corner of the college road doing our daily work for the people who stop by for a room.
