Architects Combine

We've been at 29/153 Maitree Vihar for a while now. It's a small place, mostly filled with drawings, old coffee mugs, and a printer that has a mind of its own. Architects Combine isn't some fancy high-rise firm. It's just us. We spend a lot of time looking at site plans and trying to figure out where the pipes should go. Sometimes we spend hours arguing over where a window should be placed just to get the light right. That’s just how it is here. We deal with local projects, mostly houses and small shops around this part of town. People come in with an idea, usually sketched on a scrap of paper, and we try to make it work on paper first. It takes a lot of measuring and re-measuring. If you walk by, you'll see us hunched over our desks under some old ceiling fans. We don't have a big reception area or anyone to greet you at the door. It's a working office, plain and simple. We know the neighbors and the guy who sells tea down the street. The traffic on the road gets loud in the afternoons, but we've gotten used to it. Most of our work comes from folks who live nearby and need a renovation or a new build. We don't do much advertising because the work usually speaks for itself. It's honest work. We try to keep things simple and not overcomplicate the designs. Building something is stressful enough, so we just try to get the drawings right. It's a lot of back and forth with the builders until the job is done.
