Vinera Carpets

Our shop, Vinera Carpets, is located at 129 in Shastri Market. If you’ve ever been to Shastri Market, you know it’s a tight squeeze. The aisles are narrow and everyone is always in a rush. We’ve got a small spot here, but we pack it full of as many carpets as we can fit. It’s mostly just me and a helper working here. We spend a lot of time moving things around to make room for new stock. Because the shop is so small, we often have to take the larger rugs outside onto the walkway just so a customer can see the whole thing. It’s a bit of a pain, especially when the market is crowded, but it’s the only way to do it. The lighting inside isn't the best, so the colors look different when you get them out in the sun. We try to be honest about that. We don't have any big corporate backing or a fancy office. It’s just this one room in the market. We have a lot of regular customers who have been coming to us for years, and we know most of the other shopkeepers around here. We have tea together every afternoon. It’s a busy, noisy way to make a living, but it’s what we know. We don't have any big goals of expanding or anything like that. We just want to keep the shop going and sell some carpets. The hustle and bustle of the market can be tiring, but it keeps us on our toes every day.
