Vansa Beauty Salon & Training School

Vansa is tucked away at number 60 in Vaishali Nagar. If you’re coming down Link Road 3 or Nehru Nagar, we are right near Manit Crossing. It’s a two-part thing here because we run the salon and also the training school for people who want to learn the trade. It gets quite lively with students practicing their techniques on mannequins or sometimes on each other. There is always someone learning how to hold a comb or mix up some dye. The space is filled with tables, chairs, and a lot of different products. It feels a bit like a classroom and a shop at the same time. The walls have some old posters on them. We have been in Bhopal for a good bit now. Being near the crossing means we see a lot of students from the college nearby walking past. The mornings are usually spent setting things up and checking the supplies. We have a small area where people can sit and wait, though it’s usually full of bags and books. Sometimes the sinks leak a little if we aren’t careful. It’s a busy life, teaching and working at the same time. We don’t really have a manager in a suit, just us in our aprons trying to get the work done right. Most days we are here until late, especially when a class is running behind.
