Tirupati Marble

If you’re looking for Tirupati Marble, we’re right at Plot No.1 at Lalghati Square. It’s easy to spot because we are tucked right behind the Police Chowki. Having the police so close makes the area feel a bit more orderly, I suppose. We’ve got a decent-sized yard filled with different types of marble and stone. It’s a bit of a scramble sometimes when a customer wants to see a piece that’s buried at the bottom of a stack. We have to get the guys to move things around with the crane or by hand. It’s heavy work and my back feels it some days. The square gets really busy, so there’s always noise from the traffic outside. We don’t really have a big staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. People usually come in after seeing our sign while they’re stuck in traffic at the square. We don’t have a fancy showroom with air conditioning, just the stone and the tools we use to cut it. Most people who come here know what they want, or they bring their contractor along to do the talking. We just show them the batches we have and tell them how much is left. It’s a straightforward way to run a business, and it seems to work well enough for us here in Lalghati. We just try to keep the stone moving and the yard clear.
