Stone Trading

Our setup is at A-269 in the Old Minal Residency, right off J.K Road. It is more of a home-based office than a standard retail store, so things are a bit informal around here. The traffic on J.K Road is always a nightmare, but once you get inside the residency, it stays fairly quiet. I spend a good portion of my day on the phone coordinating with suppliers and truck drivers. My desk is usually buried under various stone samples and scraps of paper with measurements scribbled on them. Since we do not have a massive showroom, I often have to drive clients over to the storage site if they want to see the full blocks of marble or granite. It is a lot of back-and-forth work. My wife often complains that I track dust into the house after visiting the loading sites. We started this because I had a few connections in the trade, and it slowly turned into a full-time occupation. Sometimes the internet connection acts up, and I have to step out onto the balcony to get a better signal for my calls. It is just a small operation, and we don't have a big team helping out. We just try to get the orders sorted and the deliveries made without too many delays. It is a simple way of doing business.
