Asian Marbles

We are over at Plot No-5-6 on Raisen Road. People around here know the area as Puliyankudi Bogda Road. Asian Marbles is where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s a large plot, which is good because marble takes up a lot of room. We have slabs leaning against the walls and stacked up in the middle of the yard. It can be a bit of a maze if you don't know where you're going. The road outside gets quite a lot of traffic, especially with the trucks coming and going all day long. We don't have any polished sales talk or big signs. Usually, we are just out there with the measuring tape and some chalk, marking things out for the cutters. It gets hot out there in the open, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early in the morning. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit muddy, but we just throw some boards down and keep moving. We’ve been at this Raisen Road location for a long time now. We know the neighbors and the local tea stall guys pretty well. Asian Marbles isn't some big corporate entity; it's just a bunch of us working with stone. We see all kinds of people come through, from folks building their first small house to contractors working on bigger projects. We just show them what’s in stock on the plot and let the stone speak for itself.
