Naina Marbles

Naina Marbles is located at Plot No. 13 on Neemwali Road. We are in the Pulbogda area, right near the Shiv Mandir. You can hear the temple songs and the bells quite clearly from where we stand. It’s a local neighborhood, so we know most of the people who live on this street. Our shop isn't very large, but we try to keep a good variety of marble for people to choose from. The road outside is a bit narrow, so it can be a real struggle when a big delivery comes in and we have to get the slabs off the truck quickly so we don't block the way for everyone else. It usually results in some shouting and a bit of chaos, but we always get it done. Inside, the shop is a bit cluttered with pieces of stone and old tools. We don't have a computer to show you designs; we just show you the actual stone we have in stock. It’s more real that way, I think. Most of our customers are just local folks trying to fix up their homes. We give them a hand with the measurements and tell them honestly how much we think they will need. Sometimes we sit outside on a couple of plastic chairs and just watch the people go by the temple. It’s a nice enough place to spend the day, and we don't feel the need for anything more complicated than what we have.
