Sign Era

Sign Era is run out of the Shah Building at 30 Hamidia Road. It’s an old building, but it suits us just fine. We’ve been here for a good number of years now. Hamidia Road is usually pretty active, so there’s always something going on outside our window. We make signs, mostly the standard ones for shops and offices. Our space is filled with printers and cutting tools. There isn't much room for a lobby, so customers usually just stand by the main desk while we talk. We aren't a big agency with people in suits. We’re just a small crew wearing old clothes because the ink gets everywhere. We started this because we knew how to handle the equipment and wanted to work for ourselves. It’s been a steady path, with some quiet months and some where we can barely keep up. We don't use any complicated software or systems, just what we need to get the letters and colors right. People around Hamidia Road know where we are if they need a nameplate or a board for their shop. We just keep it simple. There’s no grand vision here, just the daily work of putting letters on boards. We like the routine and the people we meet. It’s just us doing what we know how to do in our small corner of the building.
