We are over at No.126 D in Subhash Colony, which is in the Govindpura area. The shop is quite close to the bus stand, so we hear the buses coming and going all day long. Sargam Arts is a small place where we do various art and sign work. It’s not a big corporate office with glass walls. It’s more of a local workshop where things get a bit dusty and crowded. We’ve been here for a good while and the people in Subhash Colony know us. Sometimes we have to move our work outside to the front if the pieces are too big for the inside space. It’s a simple way to run a business. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a fancy mission statement. We just open up in the morning and see what needs to be done. The neighborhood is fairly quiet except for the bus station noise. We usually have some tea from the shop down the street while we work. The floor is often covered in paint drops and scrap materials. It’s a very hands-on job. We don’t use a lot of high-tech stuff, just the basic tools and our hands. If someone needs a sign or some artwork, they just drop by and we talk about it. We’ve stayed in this location because it’s easy for people to reach. It’s just a normal part of our lives, making things for the locals and trying to keep the shop running.
