Shashi Stone

Shashi Stone is located at Plot No. 133 in Zone 2 of M P Nagar. We are right near the Mahendra Coaching center, so there are always a lot of students and people walking around this area. Our yard is full of different kinds of stone blocks and slabs. It’s heavy work, and we spend most of our days out there in the yard checking the quality of the stone that comes in from the quarries. We don't have any polished sales pitches here. If you want stone, you come in, look at the slabs, and we tell you the price. We’ve been in M P Nagar for a good bit now, and we’ve seen the area change a lot over the years. Some days the noise from the cutting machines is pretty loud, but the neighbors don't seem to mind too much. We try to keep a variety of textures and colors because everyone seems to want something different for their stairs or kitchen counters. It’s just me and a couple of guys helping with the lifting and the cutting. We don't use any fancy computer systems for our inventory, just a big notebook where we write everything down. It works for us. If the gate is open, we're here working. We just try to get the pieces cut to the right size so the customer can take them away without any trouble.
