S. K. Marble

S. K. Marble is located over on Neem Road, right near the Ashoka Dharam Kanta. We are in the Jinsi Square area, which is a place many people know around here. We’ve been operating out of this yard for quite a few years now. It’s a basic setup. We have the stone stacked up in the back and a small space in the front to talk to people. Being near the Bogdapul area makes it easy for trucks to get in and out, which is important for us. We handle mostly marble, but sometimes we get other types of stone too. It’s manual work, moving these heavy pieces around. My cousin and I stay here throughout the day. We don't have fancy brochures. If you want to see the marble, you have to come out to the yard and look at it yourself. The weather affects how much work we get done. When it rains, everything gets muddy, but we keep going. People come here because they know we are just regular folks doing a job. We don't try to push anything on anyone. If the stone is right for them, they take it. We’ve seen the shops around Jinsi Square change, but we are still here doing the same thing. It’s not a complicated life, just selling stone to those who need it. We just show up and do our best with what we have.
