Anurag Arot

If you’re over in Subhas Nagar, you might have seen the place at F 194 1. I’m Anurag Arot and this is where I spend most of my waking hours. Bhilwara is a busy town, but this specific corner of the neighborhood is actually quite calm compared to the main roads. I’ve got a small setup here that handles a variety of things for the people around us. It’s not a massive operation with hundreds of employees. Usually, it’s just me and maybe one other person helping out with the paperwork. The office isn’t much to look at from the sidewalk, just a regular door and a window that lets in some light during the morning. I try to keep things tidy, but when we get busy, the files tend to pile up on the corners of the table. We don’t use any of those complicated systems you hear about. We just take notes, talk to whoever needs help, and get on with it. Living and working in Subhas Nagar means I see a lot of the same people every day, which I like. It feels more like a community than a business district. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there and wait for it to come back on while we drink some water. It’s a plain, honest way to make a living, and I wouldn't really want to be anywhere else.
