Vikas Enterprises

Down in the Durg District, specifically in Nehru Nagar, is where you will find Vikas Enterprises. We are situated quite close to the Supela Ghadi Chowk, which is a landmark most people around here know well. Our shop is a bit of a mix of everything related to hardware and construction supplies. We started out small and just kept adding more items as people asked for them over the years. Now the walls are covered in tools and the back room is full of pipes and cement bags. It is a bit of a tight squeeze when we get a lot of customers at once. I spend a lot of time on the phone talking to distributors or checking prices for folks who walk in. We don't use any complicated systems, just a notebook and some old-fashioned record keeping most of the time. The neighborhood is always active, and we get a lot of walk-in traffic from people living nearby who are just fixing up their houses. We don't put on any acts here, it’s just a regular local shop where we try to have what you need on the shelf. If we don't have it, I can usually tell you who does. Working in Durg has its challenges, like the heat and the dust, but we have built a good life here. It is just a matter of showing up every morning and opening the shutters.
