Associated Concrete

Our place is situated along the Bhandara Rajnandgaon Highway, right in Zone-2 of the Bhilai Marshalling Yard. It’s a heavy industrial spot, with the sound of trains and large trucks always in the background. Working near a marshalling yard means there’s constant movement. Our site is mostly open space, which is necessary when you’re dealing with concrete on this scale. The wind blows pretty hard across the highway, carrying dust into every corner of the yard. We’ve got a small office building that’s seen better days, but it serves its purpose. Most of the furniture is old and the windows are usually a bit grimy from the surrounding industry. We don't mind it much. We’re here to work, not to sit in a fancy chair. The highway is always busy, and we watch the long-distance drivers pass by while we load up our own batches. It’s a gritty environment, but there’s a sense of community among the people working out here. We all know each other’s faces. The work is physically demanding and we’re usually pretty tired by the time the shift ends. We don't have any promotional banners or polished displays. What you see is a working yard where concrete is mixed and moved day in and day out. It’s a tough location, but it’s right where we need to be to keep things moving along the highway.
