Shri L D Municipal High School

Shri L D Municipal High School is right in Sihor, over in the Bhavnagar area. Being a municipal school, we are a big part of the town’s daily life. You can see the building from the main road, and it’s always got something going on. We have a lot of students, so the hallways are never really quiet except during class time. The building is an older one, which means it has high ceilings and big windows, but it also means there’s always something that needs fixing or painting. We have a staff that has seen it all, from the busiest exam seasons to the quietest rainy days. In Sihor, everyone knows where the L D school is. We handle everything from the morning bell to the late afternoon sports. It’s a very grounded place. We don't have a lot of extra money for fancy things, so we make the most of what the municipality provides. The focus is always on the students and getting them through their high school years so they can find jobs or go to college. It’s a lot of paper forms, old wooden desks, and teachers who have been teaching the same subjects for twenty years. It’s just how it is here. We are a staple of the community in Bhavnagar, and we take that job seriously, even if the building is a bit worn around the edges.
