S.G.M Public School

We are located at 51 A, Andh Udyog Shala, right on College Road in the Vidhya Nagar area of Bhavnagar. S.G.M Public School is a place that feels very much like a part of the neighborhood. Being near the college means there are always people moving around outside. Inside, we try to keep things as orderly as possible, though with a building full of students, that isn't always easy. The floors get scuffed and the walls have drawings or notices pinned all over them. We don't have a big corporate team running things. It’s mostly just a few of us who have been here for years, along with the teachers who live nearby. We know most of the parents by their first names. On a typical day, you’ll hear the sound of the morning assembly followed by the steady drone of lessons. We don’t have much in the way of fancy decorations. We prefer to spend the budget on books or fixing the roof when it leaks. It’s a practical environment. We don't talk about grand visions or anything like that. We just want the children to learn their math and science and be decent people. Bhavnagar is a good place to be, and our little spot on College Road stays busy from morning till late afternoon. It's just a regular school where we do our best with what we have.
