Shri B G Mehta Vidhyalay

Mahuva is known for its greenery, and Shri B G Mehta Vidhyalay is one of the local schools here in this part of Bhavnagar. Our address is simply Mahuva, 364290. The school isn't hard to find if you’re a local. It’s a typical high school building with several floors and a lot of stairs. We have a lot of windows in the classrooms because the breeze from the coast is really nice in the afternoons. The benches are made of wood and have been carved into by students over the years. We have a small playground where the kids spend their breaks, and it’s usually quite lively. The teachers’ room is a bit cramped, filled with stacks of textbooks and registers. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do; we just teach the classes and make sure the students follow the rules. The building has a bit of an aged look, with some water stains on the ceiling and dusty corners, but it’s a comfortable place for us. Life in Mahuva is steady, and the school reflects that. We don't have a big budget for decorations, so the walls are mostly bare except for a few educational charts and student artwork. It feels like a real, working school where the focus is on getting through the day and helping the kids understand their lessons. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know each other well. When school lets out, the streets around here get very busy with bicycles.
