Shree Himalaya Vidhyabhavan School

Shree Himalaya Vidhyabhavan School is out in Gadhakada, near Pithawadi in the Amreli district. It’s a rural area, and our school sits among the fields and local houses. We serve the families from Bahida and the surrounding villages. Getting here involves some narrow roads, but it’s a quiet and peaceful spot for a school. We built the place to ensure that children in this part of Amreli don’t have to go all the way to the city for their education. The classrooms are basic with simple benches and windows that let in the breeze. We have a small staff of teachers who live nearby. They know the families and the challenges of living in a village like this. We follow the state board and focus on making sure the kids can read, write, and do their math well. There isn't much in the way of fancy equipment or computers yet, but we do what we can with what we have. The schoolyard is where everyone gathers for the morning prayers. It gets very hot in the afternoons, so we try to finish the main lessons early. Parents often drop by after finishing their work in the fields to check on their kids. We aren't trying to be a big private institution. We are just a local school providing a place for the community’s children to learn their lessons and grow up together.
