About Sant Shri Jatashankar Bapu Madhyamik Shala – Education in Bhavnagar
We've been here in Vavdi for a good while now. Being a madhyamik shala in this part of Amreli means we mostly see kids from the local farms and families around Rajula. It’s not a fancy place, just a solid building where the students come to learn their subjects. Most days start early before the sun gets too hot. We have the usual classrooms and a bit of space outside where everyone gathers. The teachers live nearby or commute in from the bigger towns. It's a quiet spot, really. We try to keep things organized so the students can focus on their books. You’ll see the kids walking down the road in their uniforms every morning. We deal with the usual stuff like paperwork, keeping the roof fixed, and making sure there’s enough chalk and notebooks for everyone. It gets dusty out here, but that's just how it is in this part of Gujarat. We don't have big assemblies or anything like that. Just the bells ringing for classes and the sound of desks moving. People in the village know us well. It’s a small community and we’re just a part of it, doing what schools do. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just keep going. It’s about getting the children through their tenth standard so they can move on to whatever is next for them. Nothing more, nothing less. It's just a simple life here at the school.
