Sarkari Uchch Madhyamik High School Science Stream

This is the government high school specifically for the science stream here in Talaja. The building itself is a typical government structure, meaning it is functional and very simple. We have the labs for physics and chemistry, which stay pretty full of equipment that we try our best to keep in good working order. Students from all over the Talaja area travel here because they want to focus on science subjects for their higher studies. It is a busy place with a lot of attention paid to the textbooks and the various lab experiments we have to do. The classrooms are quite large with high ceilings and these heavy wooden benches that have been there forever. We do not really have much in the way of decoration on the walls, just the basic stuff needed for the daily teaching. The teachers here stay busy with their lectures and grading a lot of papers every week. In the afternoons, the sun hits the front of the building directly, making it very bright in the halls. We have a small staff room where we can drink some tea and plan out the next day’s schedule. It is a very practical environment without any luxury. We just provide the basics so the students can get through their secondary years. We follow the state board rules and just keep things moving along as they should in a place like this.
