Steel Tech

Our shop is over at number 53 in the G.I.D.C. area of Narmada Nagar. Being in an industrial zone like this means we’re surrounded by other people doing the same kind of heavy work. At Steel Tech, we spend most of our time dealing with exactly what the name says. Steel. We cut it, bend it, and weld it into whatever shapes our customers need. It’s hot work, especially when the furnaces or the welding torches are going all day long. The air smells like burnt metal and ozone. We don’t have a fancy showroom. If you come to see us, you’re going to walk right into the middle of the work. There are stacks of raw steel plates and pipes everywhere. Our team is small, mostly guys from the surrounding area who don’t mind getting their hands dirty. We have a routine that hasn’t changed in years. Start early, take a short break for lunch when the sun is highest, and keep going until the light starts to fade. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend half the day fixing them ourselves, but that’s just part of life in a workshop. We aren't interested in being the biggest company around. We just want to do a decent job on the parts we make. It’s practical, everyday work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. That is how we have always done it.
