You’ll find Techno Engineers at Plot No. 57/1/p in Phase-1 of the GIDC. It’s a bit of a hidden spot because of the way the plots are numbered, but once you find us, you’ll see we’re just a regular bunch of guys working with metal. We’ve got some lathes and drills that have been with us for a long time. They aren’t the newest models, but we know how to keep them running smooth. The roof is corrugated metal, so you really hear it when it rains, which can be nice or annoying depending on the day. We don’t have any marketing people or a fancy reception area. Usually, if you come by, you’ll just find us out on the floor with our sleeves rolled up. We do engineering work for a variety of different industries around here. It’s mostly about making sure things are cut right and fit where they are supposed to. We eat our lunch together at a small table in the back. It’s a simple life, really. The Phase-1 area is quite established, so there’s a lot of history in these buildings. We try to keep our plot tidy, but with all the scrap metal and oil, it’s a constant battle. We just focus on the work in front of us and let the rest take care of itself. We’ve been at this plot for years and plan to stay.
