Dosa Plaza

Out here on Zadeshwar Road, things get pretty busy in the evenings once the sun starts going down. We are located at 504 Alaknanda Park, which is right near Narayan Vidya Vihar school. It’s a good spot because families are always passing by and dropping in for a bite. We spend the whole day prepping the white batter and chopping piles of vegetables for the different types of dosas we serve. The kitchen gets really hot, especially when the big metal tawa is going full blast during the dinner rush. We have people coming in from Narmada Nagar and all over Bharuch just to grab a quick meal before heading home. It’s not a quiet place at all; there’s always the sound of scraping plates and people talking loudly over their food. We try to keep the tables clean, but when it’s packed with the weekend crowd, it’s hard to keep up with the mess. The staff mostly lives nearby, so we all know each other well and just get on with the work. Sometimes the delivery guys are waiting in a long line out front, which makes the entrance a bit cramped for the customers walking in. We don’t have any fancy decorations or soft lighting, just the menu on the wall and enough plastic chairs for everyone to sit. It’s mostly about getting the food out fast while it’s still hot and fresh. On weekends, the crowd is even bigger and we often run out of certain chutneys before the end of the night.
