Tula Granites Pvt. Ltd.

Started Tula Granites Pvt. Ltd. over in R.Subani near Berhampur a while back. It gets pretty dusty out here in Ganjam, especially when the wind picks up across the yards. We spend most of our mornings just moving slabs around and checking what came in on the trucks the night before. It’s not fancy work at all. Our office is just a small room where we keep the papers and have our tea. Most days it’s just the sound of the machines and the guys talking over the noise. We’ve been at this address for some time now. People around Berhampur know where to find us if they need stone for a floor or a counter. The yard stays busy. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work outside, but we manage to get things moved eventually. You see a lot of different colors in the granite, some dark and some light. We just stack them up and wait for someone to come by and pick what they want. It’s a lot of lifting and shifting. My hands are usually covered in grey dust by noon. We don’t have any big slogans or anything. We just open up the gate, do the cutting, and try to keep the ledger updated. It’s a regular life here in Ganjam. The tea stall down the road is where we usually end up when things get too hot in the afternoon. It’s just how things go.
