You can find Shri Balaji Granite down on Deshi Behera Street. We are tucked away in Dengapadar, not too far from the Digapandi Main Road. Working with granite is heavy work, literally. We spend our days surrounded by stone and dust. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. The shop isn't hard to find if you’re looking for the main road landmarks. We’ve been at this location for some time now. People from the village and nearby areas know where we are. We don't have any fancy brochures. Usually, someone just walks in and asks about a slab of stone. We show them what we have in the yard. Sometimes the inventory is full, and other times we’re waiting on a delivery. Dealing with granite requires some muscle and patience. The machines we use are old but they still do the job. Dengapadar is a quiet enough place most days, except for the sound of the saws cutting through stone. We try to keep things organized, but a stone yard is always going to have a bit of clutter. It’s just the nature of the business. We take things one day at a time here on Deshi Behera Street. If you’re passing by the Digapandi area, you’ll likely see the slabs leaning against the walls. We’re just local people doing a job that needs doing, keeping the granite moving for whoever needs it for their project.
