Yasini Masala

Yasini Masala is located at 810, 21st Main, in the D Block of JP Nagar 2nd Stage. If you walk past our place, you’ll definitely smell us before you see us. The scent of roasted spices is always in the air. It’s a pretty busy part of the city, so there’s always people walking by or stopping in to see what we’re grinding that day. We started out small, just a couple of machines and a dream to make good masala. Now we have a few more people helping out, but it still feels like a family affair. The shop is small and can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of bags waiting to be processed. We don't have a corporate office or a marketing team. We just focus on the spices. My mother still comes in sometimes to check on how the blends are smelling. We spend a lot of time cleaning the machines because that’s the most important part of the job. The floors are usually covered in a fine dust, no matter how much we sweep. It’s a messy business, but we enjoy it. JP Nagar is a great community, and we know many of our neighbors by name. They often pop in just to say hello or ask for a small packet of something. We just keep doing what we do, one bag at a time. It’s just about getting the work done right.
