You can find us over at 423 in E. B. Colony, which is right off N. K. Road here in Thanjavur. It’s a fairly quiet residential area that somehow became the base for Voltech Engineers Pvt Ltd. We like it this way because it’s not as chaotic as the main market area, although it can still get a bit lively during the day. The office itself is just a regular building we’ve converted to suit our engineering needs. We have a few rooms filled with computers and technical files, and a small area where we can sit and talk with anyone who drops by. Thanjavur has a certain pace to it, and we try to match that. We aren't in a massive hurry to grow too fast; we’d rather do things carefully. The guys in the office have been together for a while, so we’ve developed our own way of doing things that might look a bit disorganized to an outsider, but it works for us. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the local news when we aren't buried in work. It feels more like a small family than a big company. We don't have a mission statement hanging on the wall or anything like that. We just show up, do the engineering tasks that need doing, and head home to our families. It’s a practical, no-nonsense way to run things in this part of Tamil Nadu.
