Vivek General Store

Vivek General Store is located in Prakash Nagar, specifically on 10th A Cross, 3rd Main Road. It’s a quiet enough corner of Bangalore, though the traffic on the main road can be a bit much during the evenings. We’ve been here at J134/2 for a while now, serving the people who live in the Laximinarayana Puram area. The shop is small, but we pack it full of all sorts of things like rice, oils, and the usual household cleaners. It gets a bit cramped when more than two people come in at once, but everyone is used to it. My day starts with taking delivery of the milk and bread, which usually arrives before the sun is fully up. I like the morning time when it's cool and I can arrange the packets on the shelves. We have a lot of regular customers who have been coming here since they were kids, and now they bring their own children. It’s nice to see the same faces every day. We don't have any big signs or advertisements. People just know where we are. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use candles or a small torch to find things for people, but that’s just part of life here. I try to keep the stock fresh, especially the snacks and the stuff children like. It's not a big business, just a way to keep things going for the family.
