Vinod Opthalmic Works

We are tucked away in Balepet, on Rangaswamy Temple Street Cross. It is the 19th Cross, right at number 1. If you know the area, you know it is a bit of a maze with all the small streets and shops. We have been here for a long time doing ophthalmic work. That means we make things related to eyes and vision. Our workshop is filled with small tools and specialized machinery for grinding lenses and working on frames. It is a dusty job sometimes, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We do not have a big storefront with neon signs. People usually find us because they have been coming here for decades or someone told them about our little spot on the cross street. We take our time with the work. You cannot rush precision when it comes to someone’s sight. We sit at our benches and focus on the tiny details. Balepet is a busy place, and the sounds of the temple and the market are always in the background. It feels like home to us. We are not a factory. We are just a workshop where things are still done by hand in many ways. We keep the inventory organized on old wooden shelves. It is a simple way of doing business, but it has worked for us for a very long time. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
