We are situated right by the Hulimavu Gate on Bannerghatta Road. If you live on this side of town, you know exactly how the traffic gets out there. It’s a constant stream of cars and buses going toward the national park or back into the city. Our place is pretty straightforward, just a standard spot where people can grab a quick meal and move on with their day. We don’t do anything fancy with the decor. It’s mostly just stainless steel counters and those tall tables where you stand and eat. It gets incredibly crowded in the mornings when everyone is heading to work. You’ll see people checking their watches while they wait for their order. We try to keep the pace up, but sometimes the kitchen gets backed up when a big group walks in all at once. The floor is usually a bit wet from being mopped so often because of the foot traffic. We’ve been here for a while, so we know the regular faces who come in every single day for their routine. It’s not a place for a long, quiet dinner; it’s more about getting something hot and fresh into your stomach. The noise from the main road never really stops, so you just get used to talking a bit louder. It’s a hardworking kitchen and we just try to keep the food coming out as fast as we can. We usually shut things down once the last batch of food is gone in the evening.
