Subway

This Subway branch is at No.-733, on the first floor of a building called Sai Sadana. We are located in KR Garden, which is in the Murgeshpalaya area of Bangalore. Being on the first floor is a bit different than the usual ground-floor shops you see, but it works for us. We are right in the middle of the 560017 zip code. Every day we come in and start prepping the bread and cutting up the vegetables. It’s a routine that we’ve got down pretty well. The shop is simple and we try to keep it as clean as possible for whoever walks up the stairs. Murgeshpalaya is a busy spot with lots of people living and working nearby, so we see the same faces quite often. We aren't trying to be anything fancy, just a place to get a sandwich. Sometimes we run out of a certain type of bread or the toaster acts up, but we just deal with it. It’s a small team of us working the shifts. We hear the traffic outside and the birds in the garden area. It feels like a normal part of the city. We just focus on making the orders and making sure the fridge stays cold. It’s honest work and we like being in this neighborhood. Most of us have been working here for a while and know the local shortcuts.
