Vidyaniketan School/Vijashree Intl Public School

You can find us over at No.30 in the Hebbal area, specifically in Kempapura. People know us by a couple of names, Vidyaniketan or Vijashree, but it is all the same place and the same people working inside. We have been part of this neighborhood for a long time now, even before some of the newer buildings went up around us. The school is a practical place. We have classrooms that have seen a lot of use, and we try to keep things tidy and functional for the students. It is not about having the fanciest equipment for us; it is more about the actual teaching that happens between the bells. On a typical day, you will hear the sounds of lessons going on and the occasional whistle from the playground. We are just local folks running a school for the local community. There is nothing corporate about how we handle things. If a parent has a question, they just come in and talk to us. We do not have complicated systems or mission statements posted on every wall. We just want the kids to learn their lessons and have a safe place to be during the day. Kempapura has changed a lot, with more traffic and more people, but our little school at number 30 stays pretty much the same. We just keep doing what we do every year without making a big fuss about it. The students seem happy enough and that's what counts.
