Our school is located out in Kavalagana Halli, which is part of Chintamani Taluk. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city areas of Kolar, but that’s exactly where we need to be for the families living in this district. Jain Public School has been operating here for a while, dealing with the daily ups and downs of rural education. The surroundings are mostly open land, which gives the kids some fresh air, though it gets quite hot in the summer months. We don’t have any fancy marketing teams or big slogans. It’s mostly just us, the teachers, and the administrative staff trying to make sure the kids show up on time and learn something useful. The building is a solid structure, painted simply, and we try to keep the garden at the front from drying out. Most of our day is spent managing schedules and making sure the school buses are running their routes properly through the villages. Sometimes the roads aren't great after a heavy rain, which makes things a bit tricky, but we manage to get by. We have a small office where we handle all the admissions and parent meetings. It’s a very local operation. We know the names of most of the parents who come by. It’s just a practical school trying to serve the Chikkaballapura area as best as we can. There isn't much more to it than that, just daily lessons and playground noise.
