Vasudev Caterers

Vasudev Caterers is found at No.1 on the 5th Cross in Cholanayakahalli, which is in Chola Nagar near the CIL Layout in R T Nagar. The location is a bit inside the residential streets, so it isn't as loud as the main highway. We operate out of a small building that used to be a shop. Now it is filled with heavy-duty burners and long tables for preparing ingredients. The floors are made of rough stone and the walls are painted a light blue that has faded over time. We don't have any fancy equipment, just the basics that get the job done. Our days are long and usually start before the sun comes up. We spend a lot of time cleaning the large vats we use for cooking. There is no air conditioning, so we keep the front door open to let a breeze in. The neighborhood is a mix of houses and small businesses, and we know most of the people on our cross street. We don't have a desk for taking orders, just a small notebook we keep near the phone. It is a very hands-on environment and everyone knows their role. The smell of woodsmoke or gas often fills the air in the mornings. We don't spend money on marketing or making the place look corporate. It is just a local kitchen where we work hard every single day to get everything ready.
