If you’ve ever been to vishveshwaraiah Puram, you know how much people here love their food. Our place at number 2 is always right in the middle of that energy. From the moment we start in the morning, the smell of spices and hot oil fills the whole street. We spend most of our time in the back preparing various snacks and mixtures. There is always someone stirring a big pot or packing things into plastic bags for the evening rush. It gets pretty hot near the stoves, especially when we are frying up a fresh batch of something. The counter is usually a bit chaotic with people pointing at different jars and asking for a quarter kilo of this or that. We don't have fancy packaging, just simple bags tied with a thread or a rubber band. Our floors can get a little slippery from the oil and the flour, so we are always sweeping up. It’s a traditional kind of setup where we focus on the taste rather than how the shop looks. We use the same recipes we’ve had for ages, and we don't plan on changing them. People from all over the area come by for their tea-time snacks, and we usually know what they want before they even say it. It’s a busy, noisy, and very delicious way to spend the day in VV Puram with the rest of the community.
