Our place is in Kamakshi Palayam, right near the Vishal Theater. It’s a handy landmark because everyone knows where the theater is. We have a small storefront and a bit of space in the back for storage. It’s usually full of boxes and packing tape. We handle a lot of different goods, so you never know what’s going to be sitting on the floor on any given day. Sometimes it’s plastics, sometimes it’s small hardware parts. We spend a lot of time loading things onto small vans. It’s a busy little neighborhood with lots of shops tucked away. The air is always full of the smell of street food from the vendors nearby. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few of us who have been working together for a long time. The office part is just a tiny desk in the corner with a calculator and some ledgers. It gets quite loud when there's a big movie playing next door and people are cheering. We don't mind it much. It’s just part of being in this area. We usually open up early before the traffic gets too bad. It’s a simple operation and we try to keep things organized, even if it looks a bit messy to an outsider. We just get through the orders as they come in. It keeps us on our feet all day long.
